I have given the guy several chances. Even took a buddy in to buy a bow from him after he pissed me off the first time. Some loud mouth puke of a kid behind the counter almost had his teeth knocked out by my buddy.
The culture of the shop sucks. His hours suck, his work is shady. He loves to hear himself talk. Not my kind of people.
I took a Mathews in that joe personally worked on. Problem wasn't resolved. Had him put a dead end string stop on. HE STRIPPED THE ALLEN HEAD!!!!! WTF, I'd have to drill it out to take it off.
Took it to GNW Archery (Hoyt guy) and it was fixed. GNW gets all my business. (I seemingly own a Hoyt now as well :chuckle:)
Everyone has different tolerances for stupidity. Mine is low. Very low.
Everyone has different expectations on workmanship and customer service.
Not all of us will agree on the quality of the shop.
I personally will never recommend him, or stop in for anything.

Rainier Archery is a top 100 Mathews dealer every year. You guy's should think a little bit before you flame a local guy who has been doing business in this area for 20 plus years. Way before Rainier Archery. 10 guy's crying on here does not a bad business make. The reason you don't see anything bad online about him is because there isn't any need for it.
I challenge you to find 10 guys crying on here about Lucky shot archery!  Maybe Rainier should visit them for some pointers!!!   Lucky Shot is awesome.
MAGA!  Again..

I stopped in there on Tuesday, they said the place will be closed down by the end of the month.

Who is closing down by the end of the month?

Walked in paid and left. Bought a Genisis bow. Walked in and paid and left for Buckley. Cant say nothin bad or good. Paid for abunch of over priced bows that we love to shoot! :chuckle:

Wow, what's the reason?

Lack of business they said, not unlike a lot of small businesses these days.

Makes you wonder if the lack of business is due to customer service? Being that has been stated previously that he was a top 100 Mathews dealer in the country, you would think he could weather the bad economy...

Just checked the website for Rainier Archery and it says no longer available.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

It was a product of many factors. Landlord was making demands, business had been slow. It's to bad you guy's that flamed Joe didn't have a chance to get to know him. He's not a guy that would stand around and play patty cake with you, but he has many years of archery knowledge and was willing to give it. Joe just has his own way of delivery. He never meant any harm. He doesn't plan to stay gone. I believe he is gonna try and regroup and find a new place suitable for an archery shop in a bit. In the mean time good luck with your customer no service available at sportco. At least joe, lee, jim, john of glen were behind the counter and available when you needed something. Now you can have the kid from camping run over and help you if they can find him.
