Have only been there once, wasn't impressed. Have heard good things from some, bad things from others.

Purchased a bow there about about 1-1/2 year ago.  Bad experience.  Since then, the Federal Way Wholesale Sports gets all my regular archery dollars.

I would buy things from them but I wouldnt let them work on my bow.  I do all my own work because I have not been impressed with some of the work i have seen them do.  Nice looking shop and lots of goodies though $$$.

Spend your money else where. You can find any thing those guys sell on the internet for cheaper and you can definitely find a better pro shop if you need some one to work on your bow. Still have no idea how this shop stays in business with the crappy service they give people.

Personally, I would spend my money with Doug at Great NW fish and Archery or Larry at Wholesale Soportrs in Federal Way.

Agree with most above post.

Dropped my bow off for warranty repair on a friday. Told it would be a few days to get parts from mathews. Called following friday, sorry parts didnt come in ups (mathews always 2 days warranty parts).
Called tues sorry no part but they were ordered and are stuck on ups truck. Called friday sorry mathews refused warranty. Called mathews, they track every thing. No claim was made and no parts were ever ordered. Picked up bow and got the cold shoulder. Called mathews again and parts were then shipped second day. Dropped bow of again, parts are in their hands and bow is not fixed.

One word wabow, WOW! That is rediculous. I just had to take my hoyt into the shop (not ranier) for warranty, hope I don't end up in the same boat as you.

Mathews wanted the bow taken back to Ranier. It may be their policy I dont know. I cant say enough about Mathews service, this is strictly a Ranier issue. I'll give them until tomorrow, come saturday they can keep it and I'll be bow shopping on their dime this time around. Bear season opens in 2 weeks and it will take that to shoot in a new bow.

It amazes me that manufactures  like Mathews, Bowtech, and Hoyt use Rainier as a dealer.  I went all the way to XXX Archery for my Bowtech Destroyer (BTW, I'm in Renton).  I was only only going to buy from a quality shop that sold Bowtech.  Sportco in Tacoma wasn't helpful at all and that was only when I could speak with someone that knew what a bow was.    After I purchased from XXX (another BTW --- awesome shop!)  I wrote Bowtech and told them they had a major dealer issue in the Puget Sound area.  No response from them, but no surprise.

If it was me with a Mathews issue I'd inform Mathews of the dealer issue and tell them that I'm only willing to work with Outdoor Emporium (in Seattle).  Andy's pretty good, there.  If Mathews doesn't want to be true to quality customer service, then it's time to move on and let them know.  Anyway,  my

Mathews reps are well aware of the issues with Lilley and so is Matt himself. I really doubt he will be a dealer for much longer. I will say I was impressed by the service I got from his employee when I bought the bow. I can deal with a snob of an owner and really dont care but to be lied to is another story.
There isnt much on the web about Rainiers poor service, so I guess its the locals that havent been burned yet that keep the shop afloat.

I just bought my Z7 from Rainier only because I was too lazy to drive to the next closest Mathews dealer.  I was a little leery going in and the experience was all I expected.   I felt they just wanted my money and then move on to the next sucker.   They retailed me on all my accessories except at the end they offered the t-5 quiver for $120.00 because I bought everything else there.   I since got one delivered to my door for less than that.  I would say drive the extra distance and buy somewhere else.
