I was just wondering if any of you guys are watching Top Shot on history and what your intake is on this show?

I halfway watched two or three episodes.  Not too impressed, lots of drama and big egos.  Just another reality show trying to find a new demographic group.

it's stupid at this point. We should have seen that coming though when they had a guy who was on survivor host it. They need to spend more time shooting and less time talking. If i want to listen to someone talk I'll shut the TV off and listen to my wife.

I like to see the different courses or competetions.  HATE the rest.  I was disappointed in the hype.  TOP marksmen my a$$.  None had even shot a bow before, then you have guys that are proficient in only ancient weapons, or pistols blah blah blah.  If it is indeed a competetion to find the best or TOP SHOT, then have them be killed out on their inability to shoot, not dramam club.

I didn't get past the first one where that dude banged up a crate or so of ammo and never touched his target, that kind of "expert shooter" lost my interest in the show immediately.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I like the show.
I know they cast these shows with a bunch of 'experts' because their egos make them act like *censored*bags (most, not all)
I like seeing guys like Kelly, who is too young and dumb by 'expert' standards, embarass the egotists.
I also like seeing the macho guys turn into whiney *censored*bags.
Hopefully they learn something about themselves by watching.

They make a binary explosive for targets that explodes when you hit it.  I've seen it advertised in I think it was in the Sportsman's Guide catalog (it could have been in one of the other 534 catalogs I receive).  I've also seen it on some tv shows.  They make different sizes from a little pop to a decent size boom.

I know in some areas you can't use them because of fire danger etc.

there is really only about 3 or 4 guys on there that are any good. Was kinda hoping that lil dude woulda whopped that guys ass that was calling him names and crap on the last episode. The pistol shooting so far has been the highlight of the show so far.

I was thinking that I could shoot better than them, but then again there dealing with stress of beining on film, and all the backstabbing, so maybe they do shoot better than me.  I couldnt shoot with somebody screaming at me to hurry up and so on....  But the first guy on the red team that couldnt hit paper had no exuse.

I can't disagree with you a bit. I watched the first couple of shows. I wasn't impressed. -With the shooting or the 'reality hype'. Even as I have recently earned my NRA master card for Standard Pistol, that doesn't make me a proficient SASS Cowboy, Bianchi, Falling plates, Skeet, Trap, or pistol Silloette shooter. Hell, I've never even picked up a bow, although that does interest me. As a hunter and someone that practices a bit with rifle and used to shoot rifle a lot, I am quite proficient with long arm though. But the class of shooters they brought to the table with particular 'personality' is only for the camera. That part sux.

I've shot next to many of our finest law enforcement officers and am seldom impressed. Fact is, most LEO's don't get enough time to practice. And on the show, aren't there at least a few that are current/ex LEO? I know rifle shooters locally that could easily stand up to many of the contestants on the show. Many that don't have near the credentials those competitors do. Several of the primarily rifle shooters that I know are also proficient with pistol. I didn't see that with this group of contestants... -Again, I haven't been watching the show past the first few.

I like the show and have been recording it since the 1st one or 2. That guy Adam bugs the hell outta me, all his whining & name calling! He is a punk! But I am surprised at how poorly some of them shoot and at like 20 feet! One of the shows where Kelly won the elimination with like a 600yd shot was cool but I expected more from the show. And that cowboy Denny sure has been sucking too. I didnt know Kelly was from this area - I like him & Pete the best then JJ and Chris from the Blue Team.

And Carp- you just a got DVR!?! Sweet arent they? They FREE you from the TV schedule and all the damn commercials! I couldnt live without it!

I you watched he last show, right before the shootout they showed a promo of the "next" show and showed Kelly in the promo  :dunno:  :bash:

Then at the end of the show they showed Kelly and Pete in a rapidfire pistel shootout, and only the last two were supposed to do that,
