Montecs fly great but if you can't sharpen them you might as well be using a field point. A guy in camp last year shot a bull right through the pumpstation. Hardly any blood. Luckily he dropped in sight. Looked at the holes and the blades actually pushed viens out of the way. I shot a cow through both lungs 2 years ago with a montec and she ran about 200 yards after 50 yards absolutely no blood, what little that did come out was absorbed by the fur. I switched to shuttle-t's last year. fly just as good and I know they are sharp and they leave one hell of a blood trail.Good luck.
i am really suprised to hear such poor blood trails. the 2 elk i have shot with the montecs have left great blood trails. i have shot a lot of broadheads and had the best luck with them
