BASIC TOOLS AND SUPPLIES
« on: July 16, 2010, 03:43:44 PM »
Hello all,

So I got my knight LK II delivered last week and I want to shoot it before I head back to the desert.  It has the ramrod that tools can be screwed into.  What other tools to I need to shoot it,  I will not be able to hunt with it for more than a year but I do want to shoot it.  I was thinking about picking up a starter kit from cabelas maybe one that come with the possibles bag.  Also is there a place to by small amounts of powder maybe 777 and the caps?  I don't need a 1000 just sitting around but if that is the only way to do it I will.

thank you
carl

The starter kit is a good place to start. that should give you the main items you will need to get started. The powder is only sold in the jugs as far as I know no one is selling partials. The tools you will need for the ram rod are a loading and cleaning jag both must have items. You will also need a powder measure if one does not come in the kit, I think one does though. Caps are sold in tins of 100 usually and again I don't know of anyone selling smaller amounts. Bullets are your choice look around here the guy's have great post's on bullet choices.

Have fun read the manual and abide by the Max charge recommendations, and Have Fun!!
