Bought a rifle. and I was a little surprised at what I finally bought. Liked all of them. ended up with a 300 win mag, not the short mag I thought I would. almost bought the savage, love the feel they didn't have it in 300 any thing. the ruger is what a ruger is, not real pretty, and didn't like the safety, same for the winchester. the vanguard was nice didn't like the stock on the stainless/synthetic. the browning was just out of my price range. It came down to the Tikka t3 in and the Remington 700. love both. the Tikka had the nice action of the bunch and a good factory trigger. didn't like the scope rings just like every one else, but loved the weight and feel of the gun. What broke the deal was the plastic magazine clip. I could get my head around this. I know it helps with weight, but at $70 for a replacement, I could do it. they probably would last just fine, but I think I would have had problems. The Remington was the choice. great feel, nice action, like the placement of the safety, although a three stage safety would be nice, and at $599 it was easily as good a rifle as any of the rest. Only down side is they were out of bases for the scope so i will have to order some. can't wait to go shooting. Thanks again for every ones input. It only took 5 hour of looking and comparing rifle to decide.
