I am hoping for this afternoon as well.  Should hopefully stand a decent chance to draw this year.

Even if we don't get the antelope we still have the buffalo draw, like that will happen for us nonresidents. I'm going to get the antelope, I'm going to get the antelope, I'm going to get the antelope.

If you don't draw you can still get license's/tags for WY. I just got 2 doe tags yesterday :IBCOOL:. I believe they still have buck tags for the area with little public land.
Good luck either way.

If I don't get the Mt. antelope I will buy a leftover Deer tag in Wy. and go back to where the wolfs and grizzles are.

Had two points for the 600 unit going in. I didn't expect to draw and I DIDN"T! Next year looks pretty good though. I've got thousands of acres to hunt when I do draw the unit. They have GREAT goats in that unit. Congrats to all my brothers and sisters that were sucessful.

Okay, something's up.  Only ONE guy here drew a tag?  Is Montana "out of antelope"?  Shouldn't be this hard to draw a speedgoat tag in MT, should it?   :dunno:
I have two points now, so I guess the question is; should I burn them putting in for the 700 block next year, or keep putting in for 480?

Man, I really thought I would get drawn this year... :'(

I think the draw odds for the 700 region is only about 55% for NR, its not the 90%.  That 90% includes residents.

I don't know, code for haven't looked, to see if Montana cut back on available tags this year versus last year.  But I do know that the past several and even this past year along the highline and east from say Chester on had some rough snow and blow with pretty good drifting, so I've heard the Antelope have been hurt by that.  So there may have been fewer available tags.

Thanks Dale that bison is looking better all the time.

I didn't draw deer or antelope anywhere and was busy putting everyone else in for cow elk and forgot myself. :bash:

I may have to buy a pocket full of antlerless tags or shoot a buffalo myself... :chuckle:

I think you may be right Goldtip.  Was talking with a few other people that put in this year for MT goats, and none of us got drawn.  I'll bet they reduced the tags because of the 2009 late winter/spring winterkill.  I know the deer in that area suffered pretty bad last year.  There was a guy on this site that floated the Missouri Breaks last fall and only saw a few does...
