Has anyone ever seen elk in the Issaquah unit that isn't private land?

It's just like the Blues, no elk there or in 454.

Jackelope's right, theres absolutely no elk there.   ;)  Seriously tho, it's really tough to hunt due to all the private land.

Most land owners are animal lovers.  I have some access because I work with people who live in that unit.  Last years deprivation hunt that went sideways with all the archery hunters slinging arrows at the elk sure did not help me with my archery hunting access.   I would get out an knock on doors.  I currently have some nice pictures of a 7X8 and a 6X6 I got last week on the property of the guy I work with.  For the love of God himself.  If you do have a shot of an animal make sure you get a great shot and let it die very close to where you shot it.  You start chasing a wounded elk through peoples property and getting fish and  game engaged you will scew it up for many of the people who do have access.

Good luck.  Try Nintendo out in North Bend :bash: :bash: :bash: :yike:.  I was out there a couple weeks ago and there were 8 bulls, ranging from spikws to a LARGE 5x5, bedded down on the edge of their field maybe 20yards off the main entrance road.   But seriously, your best bet is to get out now and knock on doors.  Good luck.

Those elk are always there.
Kinda neat to watch them. There was a bigger bull in there last year. He's probably still around.
