I'll have 8 for the elk draw this year. Overall my personnal odds ain't bad :dunno:  I've drawn for 7 out of 54 special apps dating back to 1997  :chuckle:  That's 7  species + the multiseasons.  I've hit on bear (2),deer (2),turkey (2), and multi-season deer(1).  OK now let's hit the big one

I have 3 this year, my buddy drew with four a couple years ago for archery, so hopefully I get a tag in this next coming draw or in the next couple years.

I drew last year so went from nine to zip then back up to five with a poaching case that went through this winter. Could only hope to draw back to back!! I would almost feel guilty.   nwhunter

Damn i didn't know you could split them, the gamie  never told me that, just said 10 for deer or 10 for elk.  Turned in a poacher back in 1999, wasn't so much poaching just shot a dink deer that he claimed the eye guard was over an inch, but it was only 1/4 inch, couldn't hang a ring off it. He won in court due to paperwork error, but i still got the 10 points, put in on partnership for elk with my dad and we both drew peaches ridge tags.

Yeah we both filled our tags on opening day, shot two bulls from the same herd.  Mine was a size 6 point, i'll take a picture later and post it of the european mount and my dad shot a 340 class 6 point, i'm pretty sure that's what it scored, we took it to the Yakima sportsman show in 2002 and i thought it was like 343, but again I dont remember if that was the gross or net score, but doesn't matter to us anyways.  I dont have any digital picture of it, but may have one scanned somewhere on here i'll look later.

I turned in a poacher a couple years ago and have been banking points for the last few years and now have 13.  This year though im going to put in, as i will be able to take the time off needed during elk season.  Drawing a multi season elk tag will be battle #1 though, being on the westside i dont want to not get an eastside tag and be stuck hunting spikes!
