Alaska - Kenai River
« on: August 01, 2010, 07:08:44 PM »
Hello, I know this is a hunting site and all but given the down time I figured I would post a few pic's of my AK trip on the Kenai River.  The 52lb'er was my biggest King, however I got out-fished by the crafty old man as he was quick to grab the rod when the 70lb hawg hit.

That's a load of salmon there, 122 lbs in two fish.

Congrats on the Big Hogs! You will definitely have some great eating there! :) Alaska Fishing is so awesome. I've fished the waters out of Sitka twice and I had a ball! My biggest King was only 50 pounds, but we also caught Silvers in the 18 to 22 pound class. We also caught Ling Cod and Halibut that were whoppers! :)

Nice work. Great looking fish. BTW, there is a Fishing section to this website, It's not just for Hunting. Check it out and you will be surprised. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Thanks for all of the compliments.  It was an incredible fishing trip, out of 8 of us we brought back 850 lbs of fillets (salmon and halibut).

Engelwood - thanks for pointing that out, I didn't even notice for the fishing section.  Thanks
