At 2:30 it was 5989, then at 4:30 it was 5988.  Very few new members today too.  Thought I was going to have it.  Close, but.....   Horseshoes and hand grenades right!  Congrats to you bearhunter!!

And Chevy, one guy registered like 6 times as he was trying to do his big avoid the ban trick, so when he got deleted, it may have set back the number a bit.  No conspiracy theory.

Congrats to Bearhunter for winning the 6000th member guessing contest. The acceleration in member sign-ups really changed the outcome of this contest as most, including myself, missed on the long side. Chevysquid finished a close second.

I wasn't claiming conspiracy or anything.  I know how people come and go.  I was just expressing disappointment.
