Alaska "Matsu Valley Silvers"
« on: August 04, 2010, 09:35:30 PM »
Well I moved to Alaska and have been in the area less than two weeks but have already fell in love with the fishing and wildlife. I have seen 5 bears got within 5 yards of one stalking it before it winded me and who knows how many moose. The silver salmon are running thick. Three days in a row we have got out limits with no issues using either shrimp, fresh roe, or vibrax spinners. All the salmon pics are different fish. My four year old got her first silver on a Dora fishing pole, I put 20 pound test on it, lol. I put up a few pics so you can see the area.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I took the bear pic with a 18-55 lens to give you an idea how close I was  :chuckle:

Kind of funny,  :chuckle: I bet it only had 50 yards of line on it, It pulled most of it at one point  :chuckle:
