is 8-mile in the alpine unit (unit 249)
« on: August 08, 2010, 04:44:49 PM »
went hiking up to 8-mile the other day up the icicle. Took the rifle just in case and actually saw a bear. Wasn't a hundred percent sure if I was in the right unit so i held off. Anybody know if 8-mile area is in the alpine unit? Help would be awesome so this doesn't happen again. Thanks

Doesn't really matter, that entire area is open for bear right now. Don't really understood why you didn't shoot????

Get a map, if it is within the wilderness boundary it is alpine GMU 249.
