chewack 1956
« on: August 08, 2010, 09:29:23 PM »
MY WIFES GRANDPA , GRANDMA AND HUNTING PARTNER HUNTED THE CHEWACK SINCE THE 50'S . HE NEVER KEPT THE HORNS AND IT WASN'T UNTIL GRANDMA FINALLY PASSED AWAY THAT I WENT THRU A BUNCH OF OLD PHOTO'S AND FOUND THESE FROM 1956. THEY HUNTED BETWEEN EIGHTMILE AND FALLS CREEK  ON EIGHTMILE RIDGE . HE SHOT A 30" BUCK AT U.S. MOUNTAIN IN THE 60'S , CAN'T FIND THOSE PICTURES.

Now don't put them in the album and shelf them.  Have copies made and frame them for all to see hanging on the wall.

I wonder if they knew my grandparent's, they had a place on the Chewack for years. My uncle and grandpa shot some nice deer up there in the '60's. My uncle's biggest qualified for Boone.
