  Saskatchewan Bear Hunt
« on: August 09, 2010, 10:01:50 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got great news, my uncle has paid for the two of us to go on a guided bear hunt in Saskatchewan next month. We get unlimited access to 16 bait sites for 5 days. I can't wait, I will finally get to shoot a bear and recover it. The three I shot and wounded here in WA all got away.

Maybe you need to go to the practice range & learn how to shoot.

Damn, are you sure you even hit them? That just doesn't make sense. Either you didn't hit them or you were hunting with a Red Ryder BB gun.

What is it that makes one shot in Canada more recoverable than the ones in Washington that were not...?

Maybe you need to learn to shoot, get a better scope or some glasses...

If had wounded 3 bears I sure wouldn't be dumb enough to be telling people about it.

I shoot a .270 with 110 grain bullets, it's not a BB gun. I'm sure I hit them all because I followed their blood trails for at least 5 min.

Well that was a huge mistake....your management skills any better than your shooting skills...??

And, what is this crap about me being on thin ice....?

I don't care to be threatened by some punk kid..

If you can't shoot and can't track you need to be on a permanent time out....somewhere besides here

It seems that some people are confused, so I thought I would cover a few things with everyone.

No porn. Period.
No racism. Period.
No crime. Period. I don't care if you like to shoot wolves in the gut and watch them die slow. It's illegal in WA so we don't want it here. I will give your I.P. address and info to the proper authorities.

No harassing other members. Normal heated conversation is fine, but continual calling out and disrespectful comments will not be tolerated. If you have a different opinion than someone else, state your opinion and why you disagree. "You are stupid and so are your beliefs" is not a productive way to voice your opinion.

Voicing your opinion does not mean following the person you dislike around and commenting after each of their posts about how wrong they are and how much you hate them. Come with facts. If someone is wrong, show them they are wrong with proof, not insults.

OK?

Ok, I am back from my ban. I will not follow your posts and hammer you any more. If you felt was harassing you then I am sorry. I will not do any of the following that you listed in the rules.

So then to sum up your advise from above, show us all with proof that this site is legit and has not been started to lure hunters of all kinds in and then intentionally start heated debates. Take your own advise and SHOW us that we are wrong.I think it would greatly benifit the site. Many are very hesitant to join your site as they dont want to partake in a site owned and ran by an anti-hunter.  If you are truley a hunter can you just shut me up with a picture of you and a trophy you harvested? It should be simple.

Not going to happen PETA hater, I asked him a simple question the other day and he removed it claiming it was lost in "clean-up"

If you care to answer Cascade, the question was "have you ever harvested a big game animal?"

  What is the problem?
« Reply #9 on: August 02, 2010, 11:04:28 PM »

OK, so I am getting curious. There are a few of you on here who obviously dislike the creator of this website very much and have prior grievances with him on other sites. One of you claimed that he is an anti-hunter who is trying to lure real hunters to this site to start heated debates. I have only been on here a few days, but I have not seen ANY anti-hunting topics or posts. I have never met the website owner, but from what I have read about him I don't have a problem with him. So I have some questions to you people who dislike him so much:
1. Why did you follow him to this site if you dislike him so much? Why go through the trouble to join and post if you don't like his site? Why not just be happy that he left the other sites and you stay on the other sites while he came here?
2. Once you said your piece about him and called him names and such, why did you stick around to continue to make nasty comments after his posts? Your insults are a turnoff to those of us who just came here to discuss hunting and fishing.
3. What were the issues you had with the website owner on other sites? When he left those other sites, did the problems stop or did they continue (could you have been the problem on the other sites?)
4. If you don't like it here, why don't you go create your own site? That way you can say all the negative things you want about anyone you want, and create your own rules, without irritating those of us who want to come here and talk fishing and hunting.

I personally don't care if the website owner posts pictures of a dead big game animal or not. That isn't a requirement for me to talk hunting and fishing. I don't care if he is anti-hunting. I would be happy to discuss both sides of that debate with anyone who wants to.

I thought when I joined here I was going to get to talk about hunting and fishing with others who like the same. But I am seeing very little of that.

No it is not my first forum. I have been on many in the past, but not under my real name.
However it has been a while since I was on a hunting forum. I stopped trying a while back because certain people only wanted to cause trouble instead of talk hunting and fishing. I don't have time for that stuff.
