the best part was that a young kid shot it. and it was his first bear. he was very excited.

Him and his dad had been glassing the same cut every night for the past week. They had seen the bear before but couldn't get a shot until Friday. The kid made a perfect shot right behind the shoulder and the beat only went about 40 yards. Then they called us and a bunch of us went and helped get him out. He was so excited. It was really cool seeing a young guy get such a nice bear.

Right behind the front shoulder... not sure about the caliber. It was a good shot though.
