just wondering if anyone has tried one? just doesn't seem very accurate moving ancor points like that.

First I have heard of it. Doesn't seem conducive to consistent accuracy. A guy could use a sliding sight or multiple sight pins with a solid anchor point if he really wanted to shoot at targets at extra long distance.
