congrats Ross!!

way to stick it out! I know those first few days were pretty miserable to say the least. You'll still have to make another trip over, we never did have beers at the cabin yet.

Ross,

Great Story...I know it is the Right Bull.  It is way better than Wrong Bull.  LOL  Congrats to you.  After seeing that crew around your elk..you were in great hands.  I think you could have packed him out whole.   :o  I will call you and JIMKD8 next year when I get drawn.  :IBCOOL:.  I may need a crew like that.  LOL

Reminds me of my 2001 Blue Mtns elk hunt.  I had an A team, B team and C team.  "A" team was the elite ..they would go in anywhere with ya and guys who knew what they were doing.  B team was fill in if needed but lacked the enthusiasm the A team had.  C team stood for Cooking and Comedy.  I had a group of guys that hated walking, cold weather, but loved hunting and especially naps and the cooking part.   :chuckle:

You'll never forget it...especially when you look up at your " Full body mount  in the raging bugle postion" in your living room (leave out the wet urine brisket spritz..not worth it.)..    :chuckle: LOL.. Again Congrats.
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

Congrats Ross on a great bull and a great hunt.  You put in the work and it paid off in spades.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

i dont want to steal ross's thunder but i want to say what an incredible set of circumstances that lead to that picture. i dont think it could have been written in a book any better. to have it be members of this great site and a great group of guys besides, was very very cool all the way around and i am glad to have been a small part of it. maybe there will be some big bull karma in it for us next year  :dunno:

Great write up Ross! Couldn't have had a better ending. It was fun to follow this thread and to hear how it all came together is awesome. Some packing crew you had! Nothing better than enjoying such a memorable hunt with good people.

Congrats again, job well done!

Ross, great story and ending.  I also had the tag this year.  The stress is unbelievable.  The day after shooting my bull, i rushed home to follow your journey, so thanks for taking us all along for the ride.  Also, JIMKD8 is the man.  He's only known me for a couple years and has been a great and honest help.
