Man Rasbo, you just made my mouth water and brought back some very fond memories. The way you described cooking that hominey is EXACTLY how my Gram used to cook it for me when I was a kid. If she didn't have any cans of hominey then she would sometimes subsitute the hominey with garbanzo beans and fry the garbanzo's the same way. I'm going to the store today and pick up a few cans of hominey!! Guess what one of the side dishes is going to be for supper tonight?
