Great pics Phool!! That last buck is a brute body wise and even though he wouldn't score high you got to love him!! Thanks for posting them!!

The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Love your pics!  Sure wish it was November and I had that 6,000 lens in my front seat with a full tank of gas. :)

"Full tank of gas" jeez Bone not asking for much are you :chuckle:

Great shot phool, and we never get sick of them.

Same buck, decides a little forky was just a bit too close to his hot doe.

How close were you to these deer?   Or do you just have a really good camera with a great zoom?

On these deer I dont remember, probably about 50 yards or so. Great gear is all relative Cougeyes, depends on who you ask. Its all Canon gear and seems to work well for me. Here are a couple more of these deer. Check out the pisscutter in the back waiting for his chance to cut in. :chuckle:

I missed the thread.  And all this time Phool was having all the fun by himself...  I get a lot of requests as to gear used and settings that pictures are shot at.  I'll try to include them when possible.

This first one is a big buck, there are a few pictures elsewhere on here with him.  I think the general consensus has been about 190" gross buck.  Here he was chasin the d-hoes...

Canon 40d, 300mm f2.8L, shot at iso 100 and f2.8 @ 1/250th

I took this one a number of years back.  This buck had it all, really mature.  He lip curled on the top of the ridge while looking over his ladies...

Canon A2, 400mm f5.6 Tokina, Velvia iso 50 film, f5.6 @ ~1/250th
