Big bull out the door ( A Living Memory Taxidermy)
« on: August 19, 2010, 09:37:22 AM »
Well got this one all complete and out the door yesterday.

As you can see it has detachable horns on it. A lot of you may think that us taxidermists are not friends or do not help each other out, but I have never done detachable horns, I got on the phone called Charlie (Bucklucky) and within 45 minutes was at his shop. Learning how to do it. After we got the horns all squared away and were happy with them, we looked back and they were now extending past the form by about 5 inches. Charlie said no big deal just modify the form and drop the head down. I think it was the crazy look that I gave him, meaning what the frick does that mean. So once again after some ribbing from Charlie, he let me have some power tools in my hand and walked and guided me through it.

So honestly Charlie thank you so much for what you did and showed me that day.

Once I got the form back to the shop, got on it after going through many mistrials of capes. Finally found one that would work on it and here is the finished product.

Scott (Ranger) I truly do appreciate you putting your trust in me to be able to work on such an animal. I hope I did it justice for you

Thanks
Joe
