Great job! First of all nice cape to work on with that double throat patch. I like the position you chose for the ears, and you got a nice base on them.
Question on the nose......is it painted, it looks dull from these shots. Might be the flash washing it....anyway I've always wondered about whether I do mine too black or not, and then whether I should wet look mine or not. I realize its about preference, since reference theoretically you could have all of the above. I first tried Black as black, but flat, and it just looked wrong. Moist looks fine when dark.....any thoughts on your preference.

bone this nose looks flat part due to flash and part due to a lot of gray hair on this deer's nose. I'm i tend to paint black then light mist of brown then very light mist of intense red and then wet look gloss. first time i used ear liners on a mule deer insted of bondo (first time they were big enough). they work well. hope that helps

Hey Bone , I paint the whole nose white first then mist in some chocolate brown starting heavy at the top ending with a real light mist to the botton of the pad just enough to tint the white then I use my black to mist over the brown , not to much black , ending with a light mist on the lower part of the nose to your tuck line. Then I modge podge the dimples in and put 1-3 coats of clear. The clear does the magic thing , the nose will have a real deap charcoal black color on the upper part of the nose fading to the lighter greyish color on the lip line. Thats how I do mine.
