not fully ready as my max range is about 8 yards right now haha.  :archery_smiley: if i go any farther every shot is not within a 6" group (most though). i think when the season starts if i can get every shot within 6" group from 10 yards i should be fine. gonna nail a 3 point mulie this season

The bows tuned, I'm shootin good, the stands hung, and the plan is in place for deer. Now elk, that's a different story but I'm hoping to figure that out next weekend...

I'm ready.  I have 2 stands hung for elk.  A nice blackie 4pt picked out watched him last year and saw him a few times early this summer I just hope the logging in the area didn't push him out.  I should be good on broadheads I have 14 wac'ems and 12 slick tricks all tuned and ready to go.

Not yet. I won't get to hunt until the 10th/11th which is about 3 weeks away so I will be doing things every day between now and then. I'm not exactly starting cold as I've been shooting several times a week since June and running for the past month. I mostly need to do more of the same plus pack and stage my gear.

Been shooting broadheads every morning before work and just went through my daypack stuff to see if there was anything that I needed.  Seems like I'm good to go there.  I just need to go through my camping stuff (will do so this week) to make sure everything is in good shape and I'm ready.

I haven't really been that excited yet, but I'm starting to feel the anticipation now.

I made a point to get more prepared than last season, I wanted to get in better shape and shoot more consistently. I lost eight pounds and am shooting a little better after i got contacts but in reality i should have lost 15 -20 pounds and should be shooting even better.

Does it go dead or numb?  Do you or have you smoked?  My fishing partner was suffering something like what you have described and found out he has P.A.D's.  Also had small blood clots.  Just something to look at I wish you the best.

Still trying to assemble a game plan --- partners switched away from archery this year and no horses to bring my butt into the wilderness area --- have a multi-tag and still trying to decide whether to stick closer by on the west side (can round up a packing partner easier) or go to the east side and try somewhere completely new where I'd be my own packing mule.

Gotta be home for the 8th and the 13th to watch the kids; so that totally goofs up trying to make a long healthy trip to the east side. Do I bring the 30' trailer, the mtn. bike and bike trailer with bivy/tarp or the 12x12 spike tent --- or all of them?? Too many damn decisions to make but will probably be flying lighter than normal.

I'm sure something will come together....     :bash:

Ready.

One of the flashlights has a short though.  Switch fused next to the Made in China sticker.  Can still turn it on/off by removing the battery.  Close enough.

No i ain't ready! Shootin my recurve and split my 2nd to last arrow which destroyed my last arrows tip and broke the shaft!  >:( >:( But no worries, took out the compound and put 5 arrows in a 5 inch grouping at 30-35 yds.  :IBCOOL: Not my usual tight groupings but I gotta wait till the weekend anyways to go do some killing.

Why is it, when you planned every thing out to go hunting and Your Wife decides to fill your ( or her voids ) with a honey do list, and you must be the one to change your plans?  Good luck, I'll be ready to hit the tail end of the Elk and Deer week starting on Monday!  WOW!
