Fishing guide recommendations

My mid and late 60's parents are coming in from the east coast the first weekend in September and they really want to Steelhead or Salmon fish. (party of 3-4) Years ago we did a west port charter and the old man had a blast. looking for the most memorable guided trip on the western side of "this" state

Try Justin with ColumbiaRiverKings.com I have fished with him alot and you will have a very memorable experience.
He's in Astoria right now and doing well on Salmon. Early September he will be on the Cowlitz. Last year he was getting 13-17 kings perday on that river.

Phil is the next "Clancy Holt" Lol I always joke with him and call him Phil Holt.
The guy can fish and is a really cool dude to fish with. You cant go wrong. Although you will have some options.
There are going to be allot of Kings coming up the Big C that timeframe. Bouy 10 should be closed but anchor or troll fishing should be lights out on the Big C for big Kings.

I think for Steelies you'll be a little late and Phil will probably be targeting cowlitz Kings or Silvers near the toutle confluance.

Personally, Id opt for Kings in the Big C. 680,000 projected to come up. and from reports near the mouth. It should be gang busters!

The Silver fishery at Bouy 10 will be going on but a poor run is projected.

For a big C guide, Id contact George Rose or Clancy Holt. Im sure they are booked but they will know other guides. These guys will only recommend top notch guides and not just friends with a guide licence. There reputations are the highest there are and wont steer you wrong. If you could get on Clancy or his son Rons boat youd be the luckiest guy ever!

true. i've been with guides that I straight up didn't like. I could tell a horror story about flying to Missouri for snow goose hunting... when you like a guide, it's worth sharing their name because good conversation and fun on the boat is half the day.

I've never met Lee, but you are not the first person I've seen to mention him as a preferred guide.

Columbia River Fishing out of Vancouver, I used to be his neighbor. this guy, Dan, is a great guy and seemed to always fill the boat. if you are in that area i would definately try him. hope this helps.   columbiariverfishing.com check him out

I have been on five trips with Justin and he has provided a quality trip every time. Just went out with him this past Saturday and boat limited with big kings on the Columbia River. Cant say enough good things about the quality of his services. You should give him a call at (503) 939-0800.
