1 more down

Early Sunday morning my buddy spotted one well over 1500 yds out. We watched for over an hour and he didn't want it so I off I went. 45mins later i pop up on top of a ledge. My two buddies gave me a location of the bear by radio. I was sitting about 200 yds looking up hill. It was about to go over the ridge line and out of site for good. I rested my rifle on a stump and put it in my crosshairs. In a matter of seconds it went from looking at me to turning right to go over the ridge. With no hesitation, I pulled the trigger and down it went. It fell right where it was standing, no searching needed. It took me about 5 hours to hike it out. It was a little over 100 lbs or so. No camera pics in the woods so just a few cell phone pics.

Nice going! Love the white patch! What are you going to do with it?
What kind of hunter goes hunting without a camera?
Good one buddy.

Sweet bear! Looks like its wearing a necklace. That would make a sweet half mount.

My camera was in my day pack and when I swapped out for the frame pack didn't even think of it grabbing it. As for a mount it will be a half mount for sure. To nice of markings not to.

Very cool! Yeah, you are going to have to do a half mount with that cool V on his chest.
