kisser sliding
« on: August 23, 2010, 07:54:16 PM »
I got a new string about a month ago. I put a kisser on it and it keeps sliding up the string. I tried serving it in on the top and it dosent seem to do much. What can I do besides take it off?

Did you serve it, or did you have it served? You might try waxing the string before serving it if that wasn't already done. It will help keep the serving from slipping. You might already know this, just thought id give some input. Good luck!

Winners Choice strings are really slick. Take it off, you don't need it.

Include a photo of your set up.  Serving it in tightly should fix the issue.  Sometimes I use waxed dental floss to get a really tight wind on it.

I served it in at the top then went through the slot in the kisser and served at the bottom also. Problem solved, thanks guys!

FYI waxed dental floss will not slip like regular serving string.
