I voted "The first legal one I see". The reason being is I've shot two that squared just over seven foot, one of them had the white patch on his chest. The very first bear I shot was a real pretty cinnamon that squared 6' 6" and I was VERY lucky to be able to shoot a blonde one up in B.C. that squared just over six foot. So now when I bear hunt I just want a decent (5 to 6 foot) bear for the freezer.

I voted first legal - but that doesn't include a sow w/cubs.  My wife would prefer a solid black rug.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I took the first one I saw!  ITs meat in the freeze and I am no trophy hunter.
We need another answer in the poll:  A bear that is close to the road.   :chuckle:
x2  :chuckle:
As for being close to the road, she was only 30 yrds from my vehicle.  ;D
