reloading for the .300 Win Mag

I have read online about issues with reloading for the belted magnums.  If you reload for this caliber what can you tell me about the sizing process to extend case life a bit.  I am not quite 100% sure what bumping the case shoulder back means as far as adjusting the dies.  Apparently? regular sizing like I do with the other centerfire cartridges will expedite case head seperation.  Any other words of wisdom with this caliber would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I have been reloading for my .300 Win Mag for probably 15yrs and never experienced a problem with case life.  I don't do anything different than what I do for other cartridges as far as sizing.  I am using RCBS dies and press.

You just adjust the die to barely push on the shoulder of the brass (after it has been shot in your rifle).  That way the brass is not worked back and forth all the time between shooting and reloading it.

"Which is where the handloader comes in.  We can fit bottlenecked cases to our particular chamber, by first firing cases in our rifle, then resizing minimally.  The case headspaces partially on the shoulder (even if belted or rimmed), reducing erratic ignition, and centers itself in the chamber, starting the bullet straight down the bore.

Resizing cases "minimally," however, doesn't necessarily mean neck-sizing.  I've fooled around with neck-sizing quite a bit over the years, and find the practice normally produces less accurate ammunition.

 I get about 5 reloads out of brass and then the head comes apart.  I can see the crack happening so I toss them. 

I am shooting winchester brass in my Tikka T3 Lite
215M primers
175 Bergers
76 grains of RL 22
Consistently shooting 1/2 MOA  at 3075 FPS

The seating depth was the flyer with these bullets.  Now I size to the ogive and measure each bullet to get consise length before I begin seating bullets.

I have been shooting the same 100 cases of Norma brass for two years.  I probably have 10 relaods a piece through them and have had no issues.  I only size the neck.  Thats it.
