Blood Tracking Light
« on: December 27, 2013, 12:28:33 PM »
Can anyone recommend a quality tracking light that they have used in a blood tracking situation?

I'm not worried about price but want something that works (imagine that) and I'm hesitant to make a purchase.

A dollar store spray bottle, dollar store peroxide, and a decent flashlight.  much cheaper

I remember when the first blood tracking lights came out. I read some user reviews of them on Cabela's website. One posted that "Ray Charles could find my deer better than this $#@% light." :chuckle:
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Yeah I'll be sure to do that  :P

I'm glad I asked, too bad Ray Charles isn't around to help.

:yeah: I was looking at a light that costs over $100 and thought there were some that might do a pretty good job of showing red better than other colors on the spectrum  :dunno:

Get one of those UV lights like they use on Dateline to find blood and "other" bodily fluids in hotel comforters!  Out of the 5 guys that I personally know who have bought and used various types of "blood tracking lights", all 5 of them say that they are crap and do not work.  Online reviews tend to mirror that assessment.
