doug at cameraland. nikon has a deal going where they send a rebate of a d3000 w/18-55 lens with the purchase of any edg product. doug made it clear that these binos are in the same league as the big 3 alpha hd's and to some better......so I took the chance. shipped via next day is a stack of 10 cnotes and doug said he tossed ome other goodies in my shipment......will have to see what that is.

c'mon  fedex!

the binos showed up today. optically they are incredible. I will have to wait for the light to die down to get the full lowdown, but you can bet they will run with any hd bino on the market. the armor sux, the eye pieces rock the obj covers are the best I have seen, they are long and big for a 8x32, but not too awful heavy. the diopeter adj is like the leica, they come with winged eye cups to add on.....I will get more serious....but off to scout some bark eaters!

high country I am interested in both the bino's and camera. Have you received the camera yet or do you have to wait for it to come separate? My bino's got ripped off when my house got robbed and my point and shoot just gave up the ghost. This sounds like a great deal. Any input from you and others would be great before I drop a grand on what may turn out to be not such a great deal.

I waited to cut the upc till I had a chance to use the binos for a weekend. I own some of the best optics made and these are arguably as good as it gets. blows the trinovids out of the water, the slc's are no longer that special. they are right in the hunt with the new hd leica/zeiss/swaro, depending on which one of the guys were looking through them. everyone agreed, they are worth twice the price.....without the camera.

I have noticed that. I looked on ebay for a pair and they are priced $1700.00 I will most likely be getting in on this deal. I appreciate you sharing it on here for us to see.

if you want in on that prce you better hurry. the guys that are selling them cheap bought the last that nikon had. if a dealer has to order it you will be paying at least $1500.00 if you can get a deal.
