I haven't heard any, but I wouldn't be surprised with the cooler weather rolling in.

my son & I drove up to some higher ground the other night & when we started climbing out of the creek bottom towards higher elevations it got warmer the farther we got from the creek/water. this was @ midnight. it has been cooler the past few days but still haven't heard anything. going out again tonight since it really didn't get hot today.

Been bugling in Northern Idaho and Western Wa.  So in between I suspect they are probably bugling there also.   :dunno:

Been out a few times last week getting berries and firewood.  Haven't heard anything, but that's because there are no elk left down here in the Blues.

Was scouting for the last couple of days... didn't hear a peep, even at night
I did see two 6 points feeding together this AM... they got into a little sparring match..and went their separate ways.

Spent the past week bear hunting in the Willapa Hills unit... saw a herd of elk with a couple of bulls.  They ran down the power lines and disappeared into the woods.  I'm not sure if it was a bull or cow but shortly after one of em started hollering.  This is my first time to hear them in this area.

watched a small herd all spread out across a hillside with one bull.  he was pretty quiet even with the cows moving all over the place.  I hope they get going by this time next week!  We were up pretty high and in some cool weather.

I heard a bull a week ago in Western Wa, so they are at least going over here a little bit. Not sure that answers the question though.

I went scouting on August 22 in SW Washington and they were bugling.  I was suprised that they were bugling so early.  Maybe they know something that we don't.  Early winter.
Cut em!
