WOW he must not have had a cougar tag.... I would have let the arrow fly and let he air out of him....

I'll read that again...WOW

Had a moment like that in Alaska. Crawled out of my tent, burped, scratched etc...turned around and saw a fuzzy honey colored blob on the hillside 300yds out, kinda matched the turf-mossy coverd boulders, figured I just hadn't noticed the night before bedding down. Then this massive head swung toward me and two grizzlie cubs came over the rise. She charged to within about 150 yards before swerving off. I realized pretty quick she was after a bunch of ground squirells.  Pretty sure I posted some pics in the Photography thread...

sounds like the kitty was defending a kill somewhere down in the brush...I'd of "hung an arrow in him"
