I'd pass; let the young buck grow and look for him next season.

I was thinking he's an older buck  :dunno:

What would some of you more seasoned guys say??

He does have a pretty cape doesn't he Michelle.  Lots of contrast.  I also love that "style" or coloring.   I'm thinking in my head he was a 4 point or at least a 4x3.  I'll have to see if I have any other angles on him.  I am thinking he was crabbed in the front and his points were kinda sideways.  He wasn't exactly standing there to be admired.  As for his maturity, he's about a 3 year old, could go 4.  Would love to see him in year 5 or 6 when he got some more mass.

Yup, that's what I was thinking too.  He's a nice enough looking buck now, but just think what he might look like in a year or two!

he does look like at least his right side has a sideways crab claw.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

If I can make out legal antlers with an ethical shot, the deer is going down. Especially at that distance.
