GMU for Easton?
« on: August 25, 2010, 04:09:40 PM »
What is correct GMU number for Easton (elk)? I was over there earlier today checking it out. Wanted to check out the boundaries, size of area and FS road info to insure I stay within the correct area and follow restrictions. Also, are there some good FS roads open around the Easton State Park area? Thanks for the help.

It would be Taneum (336) on the south side of I-90 and Teanaway (335) on the north side of I-90. Not much for good roads around there. They're either gated or not maintained very well. But I haven't been in that particular area for a couple years so I can't tell you for sure.

Thanks Bobcat, I was thinking those were the units just wasn't sure. I have heard getting behind the Easton store can be good.

Your talking up behind Turtle Town?  Good luck.  Isn't that side 335 still true spike only.  South of Cle Elum is a pretty good area with better access.

I'd be looking at the Naches area since it is now open for cow and spike!

335 on the north side. true spike.  336 on the south side. spike bull. I would stick with naches.  Lots of people and not very many spikes.  I live in 335 and don't waiste my time unless you get the draw for the big bull.  It's great over here in the late season when you can shoot a cow.  good luck

335 true spike and 336 is spike or cow in early season
