Hunting near sultan, lets go...UPDATE POST HUNT
«
on:

Leaving my house around 2'ish. Who is free and wants to tag along. I could use a back up gun and some company. I've got one more spur to explore and know there are some animals in the area and some decent hunting. I live in Lake Stevens and don't mind meeting/driving. The walking/hiking is pretty mellow. Who's in?

Good Morning. I had a good hunt and really only needed a dead bear to be more pleased. I walked in with no other vehicles at the gate and was quite pleased to have the area to myself. I began by exploring a spur not yet hunted by me. Well, it went about 200 yards and quite. Ok, call that one explored. Then cut back and headed down a different way and actually started to drop in elevation. Figured I had nothing to lose other than a bit of sweat and went to take a look. This section dropped down and turned into a real pretty walk through the woods. It did end in one small clearcut which served as a nice backdrop for a water break but nothing moving. OK, back up and figure I know where some better ground is. After about an hour walk I was back up to some good clearings. The good thing is I found some fresh scat that was not there last week. I'm getting closer. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. There is bear around. The bear is eating berries. Find the berries he is eating. Shoot the bear. Sounds simple enough. Also saw a nice little doe playing in one of the clearcuts.
