Grey Ghosts!!
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:43:44 PM »
So I checked my trailcam this afternoon.  I had 4 differnet bucks coming in 3 weeks ago that I was very excited about. In the last week or so they have seemed to disappear.  Nothing but doe's on the camera for the last week.  Anyone have an idea why that is?  Hopefully they decide to show up in the next couple of days.  I'll be there waiting for them.

They looked at the Calendar and seen archery season opens in the morning....  :yike:  Had a nice forky and 2 does in the back property this evening... if they show up in the AM they will be hanging by 9 AM tomorrow... meat is meat.

They were still fuzzy last week.  I was hoping to get pics of them in transition.  I was thinking that they rubbed off also.  One was an old deer.  Ears all torn up.  Would be a dandy.  But I have no problems putting a doe in the freezer.  I can't wait to get in the stand tomorrow.

If you had salt or minerals out in front of your camera and they were coming in to that, it may be why they stopped showing up.  I have found that after their velvet comes off they stop craving salt.  Or at least they stop using the salt licks.  Does will keep using them.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
