Me: Dad I have an Elk tag that is equivalent to what Dan Agnew spends every year on hunting the Governor's tag.  I need you and Mom to watch the kids while I go look for the biggest bull imaginable.
This should read: equivalent to the tag Dan Agnew gets every year buy out spending everybody.
The hunt, well thats up to interpetation...

No - its not that bad, just trying to picture how I would explain it too my wife.  exageration helps frame the story.
This year was pretty challenging.  12 days of spring bear hunting - ate tag soup.
multi-season deer
multi-season elk
Montana deer
Montana elk.

I'm just real envious of the incentive tag holders......man, that would be an awesome permit.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Whacker, I suggest you get a gun safe.  memorize the combo, then eat the paper it was written on.  I'll see you in Montana... ;)

Actually with that tag, if you hunt the right unit at the right time, you could easily finish your hunt in one day. I'd still allot a couple of weekends to scouting prior to the hunt. But it really shouldn't take a lot of time to fill that tag. Unless you're going to hold out for the biggest bull in the state (which I wouldn't)

Runamuk, if you drew the Incentive tag, I have a suspicion that the YAR Kingdom would get it's princess on a good bull.  I would hate to see what that camp would look like (shudder), but you would kill an elk... :chuckle:

I know.  That's why I said "I would hate to see what that camp looked like".  I know me.

The Govener's tag was filled....WOW. 400"+. It could have been the incentive tag holder. That's what that tag means.
