Here are some pictures of my custom Stag 6.8 I had built for shooting deer, anyone else plan on using a AR this season?

Sweet looking shooter. I'll be using my Bushmaster for yotes during deer season. Are you limited to the standard 4 rounds.

Nice Setup.  Like the FDE finish.  Using my AR .450 bushmaster this season too, FDE pieces as well

I built a yote killer this year.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Haha No I brought her back inside for safekeeping.

I'm not positive but I think in my unit we can use whatever mags we choose, I plan on using a 5 or 10rd PRI mag.

i bought a r--25 a bit ago in 7mm-08 i think the little brother wants it to be his new deer gun  :chuckle: i think he might get to break it in on deer for me. i might pack mine since i have a multi season tag but most times pack my 300 because if a toad steps out at 300+ i prefer the 300 ;) and it would take a freak or a  toad to get me to use my tag before late muzzle

Very accurately, the scope is mounted a bit far back and I need to swap out those rings for a mount that holds the scope further forward but it is very user friendly to shoot and I have been very pleased with it's accuracy. The rifle itself is very accurate and not terribly picky aside from not liking  federal ammo, on the other hand it LOVES brown bear 62gr hp and will happily land as many of them inside of an inch at 100m as you care to shoot. The 6-18x50AO Bushnell I put on has been surprisingly good and really makes it easy to see what you are doing at longer ranges/smaller targets and the Rock River 2-stage trigger is easy to squeeze. All told I couldn't be happier with it really, it's extremely easy to hit with, nothing like my M16 was or any of the other AR's I have shot.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I plan on using my Rock River Car 6.8 for Blacktails this season. It shoots Silver State 110 gn pro hunters under 1" @ 100yds. I have it mounted with a burris short mag 3x9 scope.

How are you liking that cartridge? I noticed that it was similar to full house 45-70 ballistics without the limitations of a tube magazine.

I don't think there is a shell restriction for Hi-Power rifles, just shotguns.  It will help those Yakima Hunters when a spike runs through.  They can get off 30 shots now vs. a slower 4-10 on an elk.  :bash:
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
