I've seen one of the bulls their after in 154 I hope he gets a chance at him cause he's a dandy, he's in a pretty good spot because there are county roads on top and up the bottom and most of the area is ffth it's   just a matter of finding him close enough to one of those roads for a shot, cause from the sounds of it this fella's not going to be doing any hiking and this is steep country.  Can't wait to hear an update.

This is the way things should be done.
Way to go, guys and gals.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I have informed my family from Waitsburg & Dayton area, they are passing the word around.

Most of their land doesnt have elk on it at the moment , but they are checking with others.

I will be over there this weekend and will keep checking the site.

Lets get this guy an elk

Hey everyone..well no elk.  The hunter had to go back home for awhile..it is really tough.  First I want to thank all of you who have offered assistance with this hunt.  Incredible group of hunters we have here.  Thanks.

Well they had cows mewing, bulls fighting, bulls bugling, last night the big bull was at 400 yds..hunter couldn't get him in scope.  It was very difficult..his brothers and father could have killed it for him but they wanted him too do it.  This mornings hunt was going good but some other hunters who have permission.. showed up and I guess the elk blew out of the field.  They are hoping to be back next week after some recharging.

Again..thanks to all of you guys for the assistance with this. Pascokid ,JimKD8, Jackelope, and others thanks for all of the awesome offers you gave up...it is great to know that the human spirit is alive and well.  My buddy couldn't beleive all of the offers..word really spread fast..All I can say is WOW!  You guys rock!  Thanks again for everything!
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

Definitely keep us updated on this Yelp.  This really got me to thinking again about what's important in life.  I'll keep this hunter in my thoughts in the coming weeks as I am in the field myself.  It's stories like this that remind us all to make the most of what little time we have hunting in the field and making the most of life in general.

It;s so heart warming to see all  the people on this site step forward and try to help someone who really needs help to complete something he is dreaming about it;s what hunting really is about. Hoping and praying for the best.
