Knight Bighorn and Wolverine Firing Pins

The hammer is the firing pin-if the hammer didnt have a pin how would it fire Of course it is not a tradition firing pin

If people dont know what they are talking about its better to just read a post than give bad advice.It could cause injury or worse to a poor ready that followed said advice.

By your logic when bow hunting the arrow is the bullet or how else do you kill the deer

If there is a pin on the bolt when you pull the trigger it hits cap and BOOM No its not a spring loaded firing pin like a standard rifle-No I am not new But some people nit pick anything. I am wrong its not a standard firing pin but does the same thing

Go to knight rifle website and search "firing pin".
Results in "No match"

Say what you want but you two goofs are WRONG.
Muzzle loaders have a hammer and nipple...............no firing pin.
Christ I sold knight rifles for a couple years and been shooting muzzle loaders for close to 30 years.
Please post a picture of this firing pin you speak of and I will admit I was wrong.
If you are wrong simply admit it and move on.....................sound good?

And yes arrows are bullets. They are shot from Indian rifles .........right

Bighorn and Wolerine are the same guns with some minor differences....length of barrel for one. Bighorn comes with both 209 and percussion/musket cap option, Wolverine does not.  Everything interchanges...stocks, barrels etc.

skookumhntr, back to your original question I would suggest swapping out the musket cap on to your other rifle and try it with the flat faced hammer you should be ok if it doen't fire then start looking at other options just make sure you have the musket cap seated well on the nipple
