The Fly.

I am trying to shave weight more so than I ever have.   Idabooner created a fly YEARS ago for hunting elk down in the Blues.   he made it out of parachute.  Its as light as it gets.   I am going to put it to use, probably 30 years after he made it.   I am leaving the tent behind.  I hope this doesn't bit me in the arse.   A couple other things I am leaving behind are my extra flashlight, and my 2nd knife.   I hope I get a couple pics.  Thought seriously about leaving the camera behind as well.

Not soon enough.   Got work to do.  That and I think I'll start trying to get into shape.

A tent is nothing more than a glorified fly with a floor and some zippers in some cool places.  You'll be fine.  Good luck!

you should be good to go. and the less weight on your back and in your pack will be nice

Does he wanna make me one?  Sounds like a nice set up. This is the second year I will be bivy and tarp no tent.

I have called in some really big bulls in the blues. Unfortunately I did not have a bull tag only spike tags. Usually some nice animals by the ski area  and up by Godman. Good luck. Beautiful area over there
