Musket Caps?
« on: September 04, 2010, 09:03:12 AM »
Hey guys Im having trouble finding musket caps :dunno: Ive checked all the big name stores (local Tacoma area) nothing. Checked two local fire arm suppliers, still nothing. Guy at Sportco said he hasn't seen any in three months! I put a want add in the classifieds. Prefer to buy them local, not have to pay the ungracious hazardous shipping fee from mail order. That will be my last resort. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I was also going to say to check Sunbirds. I was at Wholesale Sports in Lacey yesterday and the only caps they have are CCI #10's which are for pistols. I bought the last two cans of #11's that they had last weekend, and they were RWS caps, $6.99 per can. I don't know why they seem to be in such short supply right now. You would think Wholesale Sports would be well stocked with muzzleloader caps right before hunting season. Have you checked the Cabelas store?

You wouldn't think so, but they are not that expensive if needed to be replaced every couple of years. I'm sure as long as they are kept in a dry place they would be fine.
