Grand Nephews Score
« on: September 04, 2010, 10:04:44 PM »
My 11 year old Grand Nephew shot his first deer opening day of the 2010 archery season.
Congratulations to the new hunter, and thanks for letting me be there.

Awesome job!  Congrats to the young guy!!!!  Also, congrats to whomever taught him to wear the harness in the stand.  It could save his life some day.

I just told him 18 feet doesn't seem like much, until you are falling from it. :o

That's too cool.  But where is his deer blood X on his forhead for his first deer?   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  Even though he is a spike, I would have it mounted and frame a 8x10 pic of the one posted.  Congrats to the little fella.

He has pretty much been raised by his grandma, and I would hate to get him traumatized with the very first time he went deer hunting. I told him that in some circles, the kid that gets his first kill gets blooded, in that they paint a bit of blood on the cheeks like war paint. I told him that I wasn't going to do it to him but he could do it if he wanted it.
I have the photo and some trailcam photos to match, and a video of the hunt, but I just can't afford the mounting. I do what I can for the kids and shooting and fishing gear for all my grandkids and the other lil ones takes a hefty toll on me pocket book... :dunno: I can help em get started though. ;)
