I have a bow here my dad bought me as a gift for graduating from the police academy in Idaho.I have no idea what it is,but ive taken several animals with it and never had the tuning and other problems with it that I hear folks have all the time.It has small cams,And I think it was kicking out there at 250 or a little better at 70lbs,been awhile..Hey that was fast at the time :chuckle:None of the pro shops have been able to tell me what it is..I was thinking a darton..Dad had it all camoed up and zero paper work on it..... :bash:If I wasnt thinking of going back to a long bow I would try to set it back up again

Another Mathews Z7 fan here.  Very smooth and quiet.  I went from pulling 55 lbs on my old bow to 60 on the Z7 and couldn't even tell the difference.

I'm a hoyt shooter and this was the first year since 05 I didn't get a new one.  Out of the last few years I think I would choose my katera over all of them

I shot Hoyt for 10 years, killed lots of stuff with it...just switched to Mathews last year, been happy with it so far.  I'd go with either one, both great bows...

Top 5 are all proven well.  Nothing wrong with any of them.  It comes down to what you are most comfortable with.

My Mathews Switchback I love. But if I could afford the Z7 I would buy it and never buy another. I have shot all the new lines every year the last five and have never shot a nicer bow!

If any of you want to try something not so main stream you should test drive a Maitland.  2011 models will have 2 options for cams.  One IBO's at 318 the other 340.  The bows will compete with anyother on the market and outperform them.  Smooth, quiet, shock free and forgiving.  3 sizes to choose from. 38", 34" and 31" axle to axle.  27"-32" draw and 7"+ brace height.  Just some food for thought.  It is hard to find a bad bow these days.

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. You choose.
