Got a Marlin .22 rifle for my 10th birthday, bought a Savage 99c .308 when I was 11 with my paper route/lawn mowing money.

Ruger Mark I, .22 LR.  Still have it after 30 years.  Still one of the most fun to plink with.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Christmas, 2nd Grade 1965, a Crossman M1 BB "thrower"  you could see'em fly across the yard :chuckle:

Christmas, 3rd Grade, 1966 a Sears & Roebuck .22 single shot bolt action, stolen in a Burglary 18 months >:( later.
My Dad was about 36 or 37 at the time. *censored*s took the .22 his Dad gave him when he was 10. >:( >:(
He had spent hours and hours hand rubbing Linseed oil into the stock months before it was stolen...

Christmas 4th Grade another Sears .22, 7 round mag and Scope.  Dad bought it pretty quick after the first one got stolen but kept in his locker at work and zeroed/plinked on the Company Range till Xmas...

Like Rasbo, a Daisy Red Rider.  Lots of critters at my grandparents house went down to that one.  Then my Grandpa gave me his Marlin single shot .22 he bought from a mail order outfit in the 30's for $10.25.  PLUS shipping...  between the two of us, we had actually worn out the firing pin and extractor claw... she don't fire every time, and when she does, you take the shell out with your jacknife.  Say, anybody know a good reputable gunsmith up around Everett area? :chuckle:

:yeah: My brother traded our Grandfathers model 12 16ga that he carried in his patrole car as a patrolmen/police chief. Boy do I want that shotgun back. We lost grandpa 10 years ago and would sure like to have that gun.

My Dad would still be kicking my ass. I still have Grandpa's Savage 219 30-30 with a spare model 220 20ga bbl for it. Grandpa bought it sometime around 1940..

20 ga, single shot H&R shotgun.  Shot my first grouse, quail and duck with it.  Moved up to a 12 ga pump as soon as I was old enough to get a job and earn the money to buy one.
First rifle was a 30-30 Model 94 Winchester lever action.  Shot my first two deer with that.  Bought a .270 bolt action the same year I bought my first 12 ga.
