« on: September 08, 2010, 01:38:18 AM »
mine was an old remmington sportsman 48 12ga when i was 16,

the damned thing blew apart on me last year trap shooting, so now its just a decorational piece...

what was your guys first?
catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.

I smoke two fish in the morning, I smoke two fish at night, I smoke two fish in de afternoon makes me feel alright

Daisy BB gun when I was 3 (I think my dad wanted to play with it).  Stevens 20 ga single shot and a savage model 99f .243 when I was 7 so I could practice up for my first season at 8.  Loved the 99f but cussed that Stevens, I had to use both thumbs to ear back the hammer, made most of my shots on quail long shots.  But dad said I had to learn how to hit with one shot before I got to carry a gun with 3.

Remington Nylon 66. I bought it with my paperboy money. The next was a Remmy 870 Wingmaster from pops for bird hunting.

The gun I first killed deer/elk with was a spanish mauser in 7x57 that was one of my Mom's gun's.  An old Lyman peep sight helped me fill my both tags the first year I hunted at age 12.  The summer I turned 13 I worked at a restaurant and bought a brand spanking new Remington 700bdl in 30-06, with a leupy 6 power.  180gr core lokts killed a lot of animals for me with that gun.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I got a .22 Remington Speedmaster 552 when I was 5. My Dad bought it from a neighbor for $50. Its value is way up there from what I have read.

Dad told me that if I passed hunters Ed when I was 9, he would buy me a gun. I passed and he bought me an H&R single shot .410  Killed a lot of grouse with that gun.  :)

Winchester Model 12 that my dad gave me was the first official one given to me. My uncle and another friend of my dad handed over Thompson and Remington muzzleloader to my brother and I as well. They don't have boy's and their girl's aren't interested so it's worked out alright. Made it easy for them get new ones  :)

Daisy BB gun at 4 or 5, then a Sears single shot 22 at about 7 or 8.  I still have them both, and that 22 is affectionately call plinker because it is the most accurate rifle out to 50 yards that is at camp!
