My sons first grouse
«

This is my 9-year-old son Gage and his first grouse. We spent labor day weekend in the blues. It is actually his first bagged game ever as this is his first year hunting. We are hoping to get him a buck in October. He is very excited and really wanted to show off on the board.

Way to go.
Is that a winchester ranger 120/1200 20ga?

Congrats to him. A good start to one of many more grouse and other animals. My son got his first grouse last year. Cleaned it for him, cook it, and then he ate every last scrap of it saving nothing for his old man.

Outstanding job!
Gage is at the right age to start practicing his "Camp Cooking" skills too. When a person can learn to hunt and cook, he'll never need to worry about being hungry.
Way to pass it on, Dad.
