Military guy in need of some deer hunting help
« on: September 09, 2010, 05:30:26 PM »
I'm in the military and this is the first year i have been in the states for hunting season. I am looking for some help in  finding a good unit to hunt in. I'm heading up to unit 418 this weekend and if anyone has any good info on that unit that would be great or maybe a better unit i should try out. I am an avoid hunter in Arizona but this hunting up here is completely different so any help would be awesome. thank you

I assume you are stationed at Ft.Lewis ?  It's a great place to start getting used to hunting here in WA state.  Check out the adveenture center on North Fort.  Training areas 3,4,5,7, close in and a variety of terrain, both open and thick.  My son has been out a couple of times this season.  The deer are still in their summer patterns and moving little and usually later in the evening.  There are some big bucks out there !

He lives in Everett so I'm guessing he is Navy or a Marine.
