Depending on condition, around $450. High will be $600 and no lower than $350.

That's about right.  Remington 700's don't really hold an "old gun" value, as they are simply "working" guns.

Is it the BDL or ADL?

Is that for sale or sold? I just checked and there is a ton that has not sold and only one, in 25-06, that has sold. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=189127174

are you saying the one you have is new and unfired? if so is the scope also new and un mounted? if it is all in the boxes that will change its value, but to have a 41 YO rifle that has a scope mounted on it and trying to push it as unfired is gonna be a chore.

not trying to rain on your parade, but I buy a lot of guns and have seen a bunch of "new" guns before.

1969 and no one has fired it???? ADL is less money than BDL....depending on condition of stock, barrel/bore, bolt....$350-550 i'd say.  Gunbroker broker is a poor gauge for weapon prices.  Certain areas of the country do better than others for certain guns. Always some clown on there that wants $400 for a jennings .25 cal.  Check out seattleguns.net and see if any are on there.....a lot of guns for sale these days.  Like anything else....it's worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Actually, GunBroker is a very good source to find out firearm, NOT WEAPONS, prices. Just because some one has something for sale, as you mentioned a $400 .25 Jennings, does not mean it sold, or ever will sell. While prices for items may differ in different locations, auction houses like GunBroker, Auction Arms, Ebay, and GunsAmerica will give you a very realistic starting place to know the real world value of your item. No, you probably will not get the same price locally, but it will usually even out because of shipping and FFL fees.

That is why you check the sold prices and you can get a very good estimation of value, the only variable is not knowing the exact condition the item is in.

I always use gunbroker as a reference, its VERY accurate if you are looking at sold prices. Gunsamerica is good but you never know if the item has sold or not.

Agreed.  They are great places to find a starting price and see what some of them are going for. I would say $500-550 for the 700.  Roughly $375 for the gun and $175 for the scope.
