Made my sister's tomato salad
« on: September 15, 2010, 05:00:11 PM »
I should have taken a picture of it- but, here it is, super easy and tastes awesome!

Farmers market had Yakima tomatoes and cukes.

Sliced up three tomatoes
sliced up one big cuke
sliced up one big yellow onion
about 1/2 cup white vinegar
probably 1/8 cup of jalapeno ranch dressing-(safeway brand-goood)
fresh pepper
sea salt

You're supposed to refridgerate it for a couple hours or overnight but, I ate it all last night with some Veni and a slab of halibut.

You could probably use a fancy vinegar and different dressing but, the cheap and easy turned out great.

took longer to eat it than it did to make it-
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
Theodore Roosevelt 1899
